Getting to the Resort
Transfer package
Your package includes return flights and transfers to and from the Resort.
For customers who have not purchased the Transfer package. You can book transfer to the Resort, at extra cost. We come and pick you up at the airport on arrival, and take you to the Resort. At the end of your holiday we take you back to the airport. May be pre-booked, subject to availability and terms of sale.
Airport / Resort, transfer by hire car*
The car hire company represented at the Resort is Rio Rent Car, but it has has no desks at the airports. Cars can be rented in the Resort, but must be returned to the Resort.

- Punta Cana Airport is around 3 kms (2 miles) from the Club Med Resort. Transfer takes around 10 minutes.
Punta Cana airport/Resort, 1 to 4 people: 20 USD
- La Romana Airport is 90 kms (56 miles) from the Club Med Resort. Transfer takes around 1 and a half hours.
La Romana Airport/Resort, 1 to 4 people: 120 USD one way / 150 USD return
- Santo Domingo airport is 225 kms (140 miles) from the Resort. Transfer takes 3 and a half hours.
St Domingo Airport/Resort, 1 to 4 people: 200 USD one way / 260 USD return
Transfer to/from Punta Cana airport*
The price given corresponds to private transfer for all members of your party. You can book this service with your main holiday booking, or later on, by going onto your Customer Space. Can be booked up to two days before the start of your holiday. Transfer from Punta Cana airport to the Resort takes around 10 minutes.
Club Med car park(s)
Outdoor, unmanned car park with 20 spaces. No charge, no reservation required.
Local transport
The Resort has Car rental with Rio Rent Car, which has no desks at the airports. You can rent a car at Club Med but must return it to Club Med.

Passports and visas
A valid passport is essential when you travel abroad. A full 10-year passport is required for holidays to all countries featured on our website. The passport must be valid for at least 6 months beyond your return date with one blank visa page. Make sure your passport is valid and check with the embassy or the consulate of your destination country if you need a visa for your chosen destination prior to travel. It is vital that the name given when booking your holiday (printed on the ticket and itinerary) is exactly the same as written on your passport. Any child, however old, must have his/her own passport.
Payment
Currency: the Dominican Pesos
Club Med Pass® payment card. This card enables you to put on your account all your purchases made anywhere within the Resort during your stay. The card will be issued against a 250 Euro deposit (pre-authorization by Visa, Club Med Amex, Amex or MasterCard).

Health formalities

Polio, Tetanus, Hepatitis A and B.
Mosquitos can transmit certain viral or parasitic diseases, so the use of tropical mosquito repellents for the skin and clothing is recommended.
Risk of malaria only in certain remote zones, far from the Resort, along the Haïtian border. The risk concerns the most dangerous form of malaria (falciparum, so serious prevention is necessary (chemoprophylaxis and mosquito repellents).
The Resort has a resident nurse.

Climate
In the middle of the Caribbean Sea, between the equator and the tropic of Cancer, Hispaniola Island (the eastern part of which is the Dominican Republic) has a tropical climate tempered by the alizé trade winds. During the dry season, from November to April, the average temperature is around 25°C.
Between November and December, there may be showers at the end of the day. Temperatures reach a maximum of 30°C in August. The sea surface temperature varies from 27°C in winter to 30°C in summer.
