Visiting a Club Med resort soon? Across our resorts in the Caribbean, Mexico and Florida, we have implemented health & hygiene protocols to ensure your total piece of mind during your stay with us. To create our ‘Safe Together’ promise, we worked alongside government agencies, advisors and a committee of doctors and professors within the scientific community to implement measures to ensure the highest Hygiene and Safety standards to take care of you and your loved ones. Our teams both in and out of our Resorts are here to ensure your safety is our number one priority.

Resort requirement for groups traveling to Club Med Punta Cana, Michès Playa Esmeralda & Cancún

As travel continues to rebound around the world, Club Med has enhanced their Safe Together hygiene and safety protocols to ensure peace of mind for all guests. Beginning June 9th, Club Med Punta Cana, Club Med Michès Playa Esmeralda and Club Med Cancún will follow the European Union’s reopening guidelines, as well as recommendations from the CDC, by requiring all travelers aged 11 or older to show proof of a complete vaccination upon arrival or negative PCR or Antigen test, taken within 72 hours prior to arrival. Should guests be unable to meet these requirements, a rapid Antigen test will be administered on-site upon arrival at no additional cost. ​

For all Resorts, before traveling, it is recommended that all travelers verify specific entry requirements as outlined by the local authorities and governments.​

This decision is a part of our collective effort in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. This policy will reinforce the Safe Together protocols in our Resorts and help to provide the most worry-free experience possible for our clients.

Club Med Main Guidelines and Hygiene Measures

  • Staff wearing protective face coverings, while inside, preparing food, or cleaning
  • Staff wearing gloves in all food preparation and during cleaning protocols
  • Hand sanitizer available throughout the Resort
  • Deep cleaning reinforcement including sanitizing surfaces and equipment more frequently
  • Social distancing with floor markings
  • Limited number of guests and capacity with a maximum of 65% of resorts capacity
  • Guest’s temperature checks upon check-in and periodically during stay

An International Scientific Committee comprised of a specialized team of doctors and professors advises Club Med on health & hygiene protocols and validates the enhanced protocols, taking into account recommendations from worldwide health authorities and local regulations.

  • New process for linen cleaning, including systematic washing above 70°C / 160°F
  • Full sanitization of guestrooms after each departure

  • During daily cleaning, a reinforced sanitization process will be carried out on major touch points

  • Reduced capacity in restaurant, allowing for more distance in-between tables

  • Temperature checks of each child. No access to facilities if temperature exceeds 38°C / 100°F
